I am a Physical Education and Health Major at Utah Valley University. I'm student teaching and graduating in the Spring of '09. I've got younger brothers and sisters in High School and Elementary School that I help with their homework often. I wouldn't say I am extremely proficient in all the various subjects I could tutor but if I was unsure about a subject I can learn it very quickly and would be able to teach it in a way others would understand. I have thought about an endorsement in English and even History so tutoring these various subjects would be a good experience in expanding my knowledge and teaching skills.
Experience
The main reason I want to tutor is because I think I could be good at it, and as much as I'd like to help students learn I think it will also be a good experience for me as I'm preparing to teach my own classroom.

Tues/Thurs after 4PM, Weekends at any time

Hobbies
Since I'm still a student going to college I enjoy many different things. I work at a group home for disabled people and that takes up a lot of my time. I love being outside and playing games and just having fun, hense why I want to be a PE teacher. I love meeting and working with students of all ages and I really just love teaching because I know how frustrating it can be when you don't understand something, and then after you work at it over and over; finally the light turns on and it's the greatest feeling ever. I love when that happens to me and it's so good to see it happen to students too.
